Lung cancer is a formidable enemy, claiming countless lives each year. Its silent progression often goes unnoticed until it reaches advanced stages, making treatment difficult and reducing survival rates.
The statistics surrounding lung cancer are alarmingly negative, underscoring the urgent need for collective action and resources to combat this relentless foe.
Strongers Social Club was founded with a clear goal: to unite sports, community, and scientific research to accelerate the fight against lung cancer. We believe in the power of collective action and the strength of shared purpose—every donation, every sporting event, and every initiative we support makes a tangible impact on research and on the lives of those affected by this disease.
In 2024, we launched Strongers for Research, a funding program dedicated to young researchers under 40 working on new therapeutic strategies, early diagnosis methods, and prevention models for lung cancer. Thanks to the support of our community, we have already funded three research grants of €2,900 each.
But we cannot stop here.
Our goal for 2025 is even more ambitious: to fund at least four new research grants. The urgency is real, and the time to act is now. Every contribution brings us closer to groundbreaking discoveries, innovative treatments, and a future where lung cancer is no longer a life-threatening diagnosis.
