Strongers for Research

Strongers is a non-profit organization that organizes sports challenges and events to raise funds for cancer research.

In 2023, we raised donations that allowed us to issue a grant to fund scientific research on lung cancer, awarding three grants of €2,900 each.

Objectives:

To foster the advancement of knowledge and the development of novel therapies for lung cancer.
To promote primary and secondary prevention strategies against lung cancer.
To facilitate collaboration among researchers and the dissemination of scientific results.
To nurture the growth of young talent in the oncology field.
To contribute to enhancing the quality of life of patients living with lung cancer.

Research Areas:

Target audience:

Postgraduate students, researchers, and physicians who have contributed to lung cancer research during 2023-2024.

Requirements:

Age of 40 years or younger (not yet turned 41) at the time of the call for applications
Possession of a PhD or equivalent degree (PhD, MD, PharmD are accepted)
Demonstrated a concrete commitment to improving the life expectancy of lung cancer patients
No conflict of interest with Strongers Social Club
